James Woodrow “Jimmy” Carson, Jr., 80, died Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Springdale Health Care Center in Camden, SC.
Born November 23, 1939 in Sumter, he was a son of the late James W. Carson, Sr. and Mary Camilla Avin Carson.
Jimmy graduated from Sumter High School and the University of South Carolina. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He taught band in the Moncks Corner and Charleston areas.
Surviving are numerous cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Stuart Mizelle officiating.
