Obituary of Alice Joan Welch

Alice Joan Welch, 87, widow of Willard Jackson Welch, died Saturday, October 10, 2020 at her home.
Born in New Zion, she was a daughter of the late Ernest DuBose and Sudie Baird DuBose.
Mrs. Welch was a member of New Zion Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Willard Jackson Welch, Jr. (Debra); a daughter Wanda Brown (Bernie); a daughter-in-law Marsha Charpia; 7 grandchildren, Trey Welch, Tonya Banks, Allison Florence, Crystal Garcia, Krystal Welch, Amanda Welch, Jeffery Alkire; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ernest Milton Welch; three brothers, Joe DuBose, Linwood DuBose, Leslie DuBose; five sisters, Tiny Brown, Azalee Welch, Ann Green, Helen Buddin and Sarah Driggers.
Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Glosson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Banks, Justin Barnes, Jimmy Lovelace, William Rhoney, Darin Mowery, Jordan Crosby and Dustin Brown.
The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Tuesday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 41 Vining Road.
