Peggy Avins, 79, wife of Carol W. Avins for 61 years, died Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
Born in Sumter, October 15, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Burley Barwick and Inez Laws Barwick.
Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family, reading her bible and listening to music.
Surviving are her husband of Sumter; three sons, Ronald Avins, Michael Avins and Danny Avins; a daughter, Wendy Prebish; two sisters, Bonnie Davis and Victoria Holbrook; a brother, Joe Barwick all of Sumter; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and many friends who will miss her dearly.
Private Graveside services will be held at a later date.
