Bertha Welch Coker, 91, widow of Edward Rudolph Coker, died Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Prisma Tuomey Health.
Born in Sardinia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lucius Columbus Welch and Rosabell Morris Welch.
Mrs. Coker was a member of Sumter Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Edward Coker, Jr. (Pam) of Pinewood, Curtis E. Coker, Danny Ray Coker all of Sumter; two daughters, Linda Darlene Clemmons (Jackie) and Terry Lynn Collins all of Sumter; two sisters, Rosa Lee Driggers of Turbeville and Bobbie Jean Cason of Sumter; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline LeVanie, four brothers, Daniel Welch, Edward Welch, Lonnie Welch, and Loren Welch.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at Sumter Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Chan officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, 3647 Oatfield Rd.
