Obituary of Ricky Alford

Richard “Ricky” Dale Alford, 67, died Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Howard Alford and Audrey McLeod Alford. Mr. Alford was a retired Allstate Insurance agent and a former Sumter County IPTAY representative. Surviving are two brothers, Mike Alford (Debby) and Ken Alford (Beth); a sister, Marianne Jeffords (Reuben); and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; special niece, Wendi Lavina (Patrick); special friend, Ken Warren and a special cousin, Anne Dennis all of Sumter. Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Allen Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
