My Condolences go out to the Booth Family. Mr. Booth was one of the most interesting people i have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I First met him back in 2007 when i worked at the YMCA. I worked the front desk and he stopped daily to chat. He would bring in his picture books from all over the world for me to look at and talk with me. I truly enjoyed spending time with him and I could tell it made his day to share his stories with me. Mr. Booth also told me he had never chewed a piece of bubble gum in his life and that his mother taught him that it was bad manners to chew gum, so I would try to get him to chew a piece of gum every time i seen him and he would not do it. My deepest sympathies to his family he will be remembered as a great influential man.

David, I’m so sorry to hear abt your dad. Even though I’ve been gone from Sumter for many yrs, I ask abt you and your dad when I talk to someone from Sumter. David, I first met your dad at the Y many years ago when I lived in Sumter. We enjoyed taking Morris’s class at the Sumter Y. Sending my deep condolences to you and your family David.
