Obituary of Dale McCoy, Sr.

Joseph Raggdale “Dale” McCoy, Sr., 73, widower of Deborah G. McCoy, died Friday, January 28, 2022, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Bernice James McCoy and Mary Iola Bass McCoy. Mr. McCoy was a retired carpenter. Surviving are three sons, Dale McCoy, Jr. (Jane), Shane McCoy (Staci), Tim McCoy; one daughter, Christy Truett (Terry); a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his partner of 15 years Tracy Henderson. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Dale McCoy. Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday at the Calvary Church of the Nazarene Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Griffin officiating.
