Joseph Franklin “Frank” Shirah, Sr., 65, died Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at the Lexington Medical Center. Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late James Samuel Shirah, Sr. and Peggy Jean Graham Shirah. Mr. Shirah was a retired long distance truck driver. He was a U. S. Army veteran during the Vietnam Era and also served in the U. S. Navy. Surviving are one daughter, Erica Shirah Boland (Kevin); one son, Joseph Franklin “Frankie” Shirah, Jr. (Bambi); two brothers, James Samuel “Sammy” Shirah, Jr. (Carol Ann) and John Christopher “Chris” Shirah (Wanda); two sisters, Patricia Shirah Reber (William) and Carol Shirah Richburg; three grandchildren, Ali Lea Shirah, Colton Jase Shirah, and Rylee Grace Shirah; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, February 15th at the Pinewood Cemetery with the Rev. Todd Fleming officiating with military honors.
