Jim Richardson posted a condolence

I have thought of Jimmy many, many times since our days at A&M. Today I decided to do a search and was thunderstruck to see his fine face and uniform in the obituaries. Jimmy's energy and good clean humor were a constant anywhere he was. My memories are all of him smiling or laughing or being so proud to have LeeAnn in his life. Oh... or pulling some playful prank. I was the victim on more than one occasion. I see he made a career in the USAF. Good for him. What a good man. A bright light is shining elsewhere now. I hope he hears my love. Best - Jim Richardson

LeeAnn - Jim and I were so saddened to hear about your Jim's passing this year. The two of them had so many Air Force memories in common--some good, some not so good! We will keep you and your family in our prayers during this holiday season and beyond.

Our deepest condolences. I'll miss all of Jim's deer hunting stories in Texas. He had many of them. I always looked forward to seeing him at church, he was never without a smile. Be with God my dear friend. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family.

With Jimmy's passing, I realized what a loss it meant to me and can only imagine what his family is experiencing. My prayers and heart felt condolences are with his family. I had the privilege of first meeting Jimmy at Texas A&M in 1968 and to be his "ole lady" (roommate) our freshman year in the Corps of Cadets. We both were young men from West Texas with similar backgrounds, on a great adventure and formed a "close mischievous" bond together as roommates that "still exists today". We learned a lot together that first year. I learned to drink 3 day old coffee that Jimmy would make to keep us awake a night to study and I learned to like it! Whenever we were faced with a challenge as cadets in the Corps, I remember Jimmy would always smile at me and say, "we got this ole lady"! And we got 'er done, and developed a "can do" attitude that I know served us both well after A&M. I thank him for the good times and fond memories. I will miss my "ole lady", "his stories" and "his counsel", until we meet again for a new adventure.

I remember Jim as an excellent officer, kind, compassionate, very talented, a devout Christian, and a friend. We served together for a number of years at Shaw AFB and on deployments to Southwest Asia. He was very knowledgeable in tanker operations and was a crucial component for deployments and military operations. Cari & I grieve his loss and pray that God will richly bless and comfort the family.

So sad to hear of Pritch’s passing. I have many fond memories from our time in A5 and at ADBC. I loved his Texas stories (including falling out of a tree), he was my go to tanker planner and he was a true Christian. I will pray for you all. God Bless. PJ and Suzan Jones

Deepest sympathy for Jimmy’s family. He was our classmate and a graduate of DCHS. Our school was so small we were all as close as family. We graduated in 1967. There were 13 students. In 2017 we celebrated our 50th Class Reunion, it was such a memorable weekend. Here’s to the Memories RIP Jimmy!
