Obituary of Charlotte Edson Richards

Charlotte Edson Richards, 81, widow of Lt. Col. (Ret.) Eldon E. Richards, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Brookdale of Sumter. Born in Susanville, California, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Edson and Annabelle Elwood Edson. Mrs. Richards was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, the church choir, the Cornerstone Sunday School class and was also an active member of the Women of the Church. She was retired from Jack’s Shoe Store. Surviving are one son, Trent Edward Richards of Sumter and a sister-in-law, Karen Edson of California. The family extends sincere thanks to the staff of Brookdale, Dr. Al Jordan, Mr. & Mrs. Marion Robertson and Mr. & Mrs. William Davis. Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Stuart Mizelle officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
