Obituary of Jeananne Evans Scrimgeour

Jeananne Evans Scrimgeour, 89, wife of the love of her life, John Smith Scrimgeour, died Friday, June24, 2022, at her home. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, on June 19, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Richard David Evans and Mildred Jones Evans. Mrs. Scrimgeour graduated from Bloomsburg State Teacher’s College in 1954. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Bloomsburg, PA where she served as an Elder, Deacon, and Wedding Consultant. She also served as a board member for the Children’s Museum, and Friends of the Library at the Bloomsburg Public Library. Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Laurie Landis, Lynne Gibson (Rob) and Leanne Lovice (David); one brother, David Howard Evans (Carol), six grandchildren, Alex Landis (Talia), Andrew Lovice (Mallory), Sydney Lovice, Ian Lovice, Reed Gibson and Gray Gibson; two great grandchildren, Harris Lovice and Bowen Landis; her sister-in-law, Virginia Ravin; her caregiver, Heather Austin; a number of nieces and nephews, and a wealth of friends. The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. Monday at the home, 19 Wactor Street.
