I am just so sad to learn of Peggy's passing. She was a wonderful, smart, thoughtful, funny, happy, strong and beautiful person who loved God and her family. We shared the love of running. She was " My Person" back in our running days and will always be a precious memory for me. My condolences go to Eddie and all Peggy's family. May The Lord comfort you in this time of sorrow. I am so sorry.

Prayers for Eddie, the children, grandchildren, and other family members. I did not know Peggy personally, but I do remember seeing her running when I lived in Sumter. I do know Eddie. What a wonderful person he is. I know Byron. What a great person he is. I just pray that the Lord will provide you all the strength in the days ahead. May he wrap his loving arms around you all and love on all of you.

I ran with Peggy back in the 80’s and I remember how kind and funny she was. Peg ran like the wind.
Determined and tenacious.
My sincere condolences to Eddie and family.

I will never forget my aunt Peggy's servent spirit and unmatched ability to create special memories for her family.
Peggy graciously jumped in at the last minute to help me plan my wedding in March 2020, the weekend before national COVID-19 lockdowns. It is one of my most precious memories. I remember everything was so beautiful and perfect because of her. I pray I can exhibit the same selflessness to others as Peggy showed the world with her creativity and resourcefulness.

I will always remember her smile. Her giant voice at cross country and track meets. She was always there to support us when we needed it most. She was like a second mother to me back then and I will cherish those memories forever
