Obituary of Margie Cecile Pierson Evans

Margie Cecile Pierson Evans, 85, widow of Ferrell Ashley Evans, Sr., died Thursday, July 14, 2022, at her home. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Archie C. Pierson, Sr. and Louise Marshall Pierson. Mrs. Evans was formerly employed by Doris Jones, Inc. Surviving are two daughters, Dale Morris (Billy) and Portia Lynch (Micheal); two sons, Ashley Evans (Joy) and Billy Evans (Ashley Bell). Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday in the Mayesville Black River Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. Saturday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
