Obituary of Betty Terry Geddings

Betty Terry Geddings,78, wife of J. Thomas Geddings, died Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Maxwell Terry and Helen Workman Terry. Mrs. Geddings was a retired Mortgage Lender with BB&T. Surviving are her husband of Sumter; one son, Dr. Thomas Geddings (Tike) and wife Gabrielle of The Outer Banks, NC; one grandson Nathaniel Jackson Geddings (Nate) of The Outer Banks, NC; two granddaughters Elizabeth Ann Smoak and husband Andrew of Pinewood and Hallie Caroline Geddings of Sumter. She was predeceased by two brothers, John Harry Terry and Robert Maxwell Terry. A celebration of life with a waterside service will be held 5 PM Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the family lake house 2378 Princess Pond Rd., Summerton, SC 29148. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sumter SPCA 1140 S Guignard Dr, Sumter, SC 29150.
