Elizabeth Rose Williams, 21, died Friday, October 28, 2022, at her home.
Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of Barney Whitworth Williams and Margaret Martin Nordeen.
Miss Williams was affiliated with First Presbyterian Church and St. Paul’s Anglican Church, both in Greenville. She was a graduate of Greenville High School and was currently a Junior at Clemson University where she was a member of Tri Delta Sorority. Liz was a young lady of tremendous courage and she was amazing in the way she continued her strength through high school and two years of college while fighting a five-year battle with cancer. She lived her life to the fullest day by day.
Surviving are her mother and stepfather, John Nordeen; her father; two brothers, Barney Whitworth Williams, Austin Law Williams; maternal grandparents, Dorothy Law Martin, John J. Martin; paternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Barney L. Williams, Jr., and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and step-siblings.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 2 P.M. in the Sumter Cemetery and also a memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Greenville with Rev. Thomas C. Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.
