Emma Jo Drnjevic Thames, 76, widow of William B. “Billy” Thames, died Thursday, December 29, 2022, at her home.
Born in Humboldt, NE, she was a daughter of the late Albert J. Drnjevic and Clema Pintar Drnjevic.
Mrs. Thames was a member of Dalzell Baptist Church and was retired from Synovus Bank after 30 years of service.
Surviving are a daughter, B. J. Thames Reed (Jeff) of Sumter; a sister, Chris Stichler (Don) of CA; two grandchildren, Luke Reed and Josie Reed; one nephew Samuel Askew (Salli); two nieces, Stacee Askew and Anita Wilcox (Craig); her loving dog, Murphy, that she absolutely adored and loved. He laid by her side the entire time she was at home on hospice, loving on her and protecting her from anyone who came to see her.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to At Your Service Homecare and to Prisma Tuomey home health and hospice for their care, love and support.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marty Thames and a sister, Alberta Emmer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday at the Dalzell Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Barnette officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Wednesday at the church.
