Judy McGarrah Bryant, 87, widow of Henry Paul Bryant, died Monday, January 30, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Homestead, FL, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Leonard McGarrah and Edith Ruth Glenn McGarrah Fogle. Mrs Bryant was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Homestead, FL. She was a small business owner and was later employed at Tuomey Hospital in administration, and also at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery as an associate. She traveled throughout the world as a military wife for 23 years where she made many lifelong friends. Mrs. Bryant was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was always happy with a smile on her face, she lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger. She will always be the perfect amount of wonderful with a bit of mischievous spice and sass sprinkled in. She will forever be an amazing lady who will continue to shine throughout her family and will be dearly missed by all. Surviving are one son, Gregory Paul Bryant (Dale) of Sumter; one daughter, Debra Bryant Vieira (retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Russell) of Germany, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Lee Bryant and Robert “Cub” Leonard Bryant. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Bower officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William “Hank” Henry McLaughlin, USAF Captain Wesley Paul Bryant, Lawrence Michael Altman, Michael Sanders Altman, Buck Ardis and Todd Leviner. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. Thursday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
