Obituary of E. Wilson Craig

E. Wilson Craig, 92, widower of Nell Mitchell Craig, died peacefully at home on February 24, 2023. Born in Mountain Park, NC, he was a son of the late Dewey E. Craig and Elida Harris Craig. Mr. Craig was a graduate of NC State University with an Engineering degree, a retired Vice-President of Progress Energy and was later employed as Southeast Supervisor for Proctor & Gamble. He was a U. S. Air Force Captain and Jet pilot. He finished his Air Force career as an instructor pilot. He was a member of Matthews Methodist Church. His greatest joy was his family; children Dr. Michael W. Craig (Kim); Caran Craig Shaw (Stephen) and grandchildren; Dr. Nathanael Shaw (Kate), Andrew Craig (Claire), Meredith Shaw Wiggins (Joel), Catherine Craig Fulginiti (Max), Dr. Jonathan Shaw (Brittney), and Laura Craig Perdue (David). He was blessed to meet and love his 12 great grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held at 11 am. Sunday, March 5, 2023, in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
