I met Ms. Idona at Westminster years ago. She told me about her "award winning rolls" that she made. I remember her being principled and feisty when she was passionate about something. Great lady. She now knows fully who she put her hope in, Jesus.
Prayers for comfort and grace for all who knew her and feel her loss..

I have so many great memories of my Aunt Idona, one of which I was named after her. I remember going to her house many times as a kid and having good times. She was a beautiful southern lady and I know when she entered those pearly gates, she was welcomed with open arms. Thank you Anne for all the years you faithfully took care of her, love you. So very sorry for your loss. We've had the pleasure of dancing with Idona for many years. She was a faithful member of the Sumter dance clubs and one of our reporters for the Carolina Caller.
Out thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Idona and I first met when I started square dance lessons with the Gamecock Strutters back in the 80’s. She was very welcoming and from that point on we were friends. She was an amazing dancer, both squares and rounds, and was still square dancing in her 90s. She would be the first one back to the square after a break, tapping her foot wanting everyone to come on. She was very special to me and will be missed!!
