Obituary of Teresa Kay Hyatt

Teresa Kay Outlaw Hyatt, 71, widow of Jack Edward Hyatt, Sr., died Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late John Outlaw and Ida Mae Leviner Outlaw Alexander. Mrs. Hyatt was formerly employed by Wateree Community Actions. Surviving are a son, Keith Hyatt of Sumter; a daughter, Alicia Hyatt “Kyra Jordan”; five grandchildren, John Kelsey Hyatt, Saibryn Lane Hyatt, Mikhal Kaleb Hunter, Jack Edward “Jackson” Hyatt, III, Coleman Ashby Hyatt; and one great-grandchild, Justice Nova Clark. She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Edward “Jason” Hyatt, Jr. Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday at the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. Saturday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 7 Thomas Drive.
