Obituary of Michael Jackson Burke

Michael Jackson Burke, 63, husband of Jacquelyn Griffin Burke, died Thursday, June 29, 2023, at his home. He was born December 1, 1959, in Augusta, GA. He was the son of the late Neal Burke and Catherine Jackson Burke. He was an electrician with Burriss Electric. He is survived by his wife of Lexington; two daughters, Abigail Burke Peters (Cameron) and Amanda O’Kelley; one grandchild, Salem Jane Peters. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wayne Green. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Lakeside Outreach Church, 4315 Nelson Ferry Rd., Summerton, with the Rev. Kenny Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. Pallbearers will be Tommy Burriss, Taylor Burriss, Randy Jackson, Dustin Williamson, Jamie Griffin and Duane Griffin.
