Obituary of Sylvia Ann Mota

Sylvia Ann Mota, 84, wife of Joseph L. Mota, died Monday, September 4, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in St. Louis, MO, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Washtien and Rose Lander Washtien. Mrs. Mota was a member of Wedgefield Presbyterian Church and a retired Administrative Assistant. Surviving is her husband of Sumter; three sons, Daniel A. Mota (Jennie) of Sumter, Michael Mota of San Diego, CA, Joseph Mota (Judy) of Denver, CO; a sister, Sharon Franco (Joe); a brother, Laurence Washtien (Wendy); eight grandchildren, Nicholas Mota (Sarah), Brayden Mota (Carlee), Lindsay Mota, Allysa Mota, Courtney Ward (Jake), Michael Mota (Courtnie), Cooper Mota, and Majid Corbett. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Due to COVID restrictions, the family is requesting no visitors at this time. Memorials may be made to Wedgefield Presbyterian Church, P. O.
