I feel aweful I'm just seeing this. Having left Sumter in 2015, it's been difficult keeping up with everyone and everything. Don was a wonderful man and I truly enjoyed serving the church with him. St. Jude will always be my church; I've never felt "home" in a church since I left. Godspeed to all of the family. You are all in my heart and prayers.

God bless you Don.
And all your family.
You made Haaser, LaSalle and Sullivan look easy in Introductions to Analysis.
And were an ace at Whist.
Rest in Peace.
Love and Prayers

Don was my math professor at USC Sumter! He was a gifted educator. Years and years later, I crossed paths with him at a Sumter County Democratic breakfast and I would see him and Peggy when I came to town. It was wonderful being in contact with the Curlovics. My heart and love go out to Peggy and their family. What a loss for us all.

Don and I were colleagues and friends at USC-Sumter for twenty two years.
Don and I were colleagues and friends at
USC-Sumter for twenty two years. For a lot
of that time our offices were just a few steps away from each other and we would have 8 am classes.
From around 7:30 am until we would leave for the day we would discuss the big and little problems
of our world when not in class. He was a person
of keen intellect, great balance in his life, great
sense of humor, and loved people. It was a time of
life remembered with great joy. He will be missed
by all who knew him.

With extreme sadness, this is to say goodbye to a friend. whether we were working together to raise money to expand the library, to get out the vote for the Democratic Party or just meeting in the grocery store, Don was just a friendly, generous person to be around. His humor and intellect were always present and enjoyed.
He will be sorely missed.

David, we are so sorry for your loss. Mark and I have fond memories of him at USC-Sumter so many years ago. He taught both of us and was a wonderful and brilliant professor. We also remember him from St. Anne’s. We would talk with him about our USC days and would always walk away with a smile on our faces. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.
In Christ,
Mark and Laura Mossell

Please accept my condolences on Don’s passing. Among his many attributes, he was a faithful and loyal man. He was as rabid a Notre Dame alumni as there is.

So very sorry to hear about Don's passing. All of the Gobers loved Don, but he and Dad had their own special relationship filled with sports, goofy jokes, and Snickers. Don was a good man. We will always remember him with fondness. Much love to all of you. The Gobers

Peggy, David, Susan and family, I treasure the memory of Don's wisdom, and his joy of living a true Christian life. His name wasn't Irish, but his heart did, and his life reflected the values he learned under the Golden Dome. May Don rest in peace! My love and prayers are with you.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I have many fond memories of Mr. Curlovic as my next door neighbor for many years. I remember when I would babysit David and Susan, he made sure I got home safe even though it was right next door. One memory that has always stood out in my mind was him giving me a hard time about running the air conditioner early in the spring. I could never make him understand how hot it got upstairs. Yes, I knew he was teasing but I tried hard to explain it!
