Obituary of Robert Leroy Cleary

Robert Leroy Cleary, 67, died Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Agape House-Lexington, SC. Born in Dayton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Donald Joseph Cleary and Dixie Maxine West Cleary. Mr. Cleary was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Myrtle Beach Chapter of the DAV, and was a retired security guard. Surviving are two sisters, Donna Cleary and Linda Perkins both of Sumter; an aunt, Elizabeth West of Sumter; a family friend, David Andrews of Elgin; a brother-in-law, Steve Havens; a niece, Ashley Havens Bryans (Trevor); two grandnephews, Renly and Ryler Bryans all of Mesa, AZ. Graveside Services with military honors will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday in the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Sumter DAV, P. O. Box 464, Dalzell, SC 29040.
