Obituary of Elizabeth Jean West

Elizabeth Jean West, 85 died Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Dayton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Mack Shank West and Dorothy Lemart West. Miss West was a member of Dalzell United Methodist Church. She was a retired U. S. Air Force Major, a Vietnam veteran and served as a nurse practitioner. She was a member of the Sumter Gamecock Chapter #5 DAV. Surviving are nieces, Linda Lou Perkins and Donna Jo Cleary both of Sumter; a great-niece, Ashley Byran of Arizona. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dixie West, a nephew, Robert Cleary, and a niece, Betty Maxine Havens. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M.
