Obituary of Dennis Daniel Morris

Dennis Daniel Morris, 63, died Monday, November 13, 2023, at his home. Born in Sumter, he was a son of Edna Poole Morris and the late Douglas Elias Morris, Sr. Mr. Morris was a graduate of Furman High School, a U. S. Navy veteran and also retired from Caterpillar Hydraulic Plant. Surviving is his mother; a sister, Becky Hurst (Donald), three brothers, Douglas E. Morris, Jr. (Jeannie), Robert Morris (Cathy), Charles Morris (Elizabeth); a nephew, Kenneth Morris; a niece, Melissa Ray and also a number of other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marcia Morris. Graveside Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in the Poole Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Morris officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Friday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home.
