Obituary of Joseph Luis Mota

Joseph Luis Mota, 84, widower of Sylvia Ann Washtien Mota, died Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was a son of the late Jesus Maria Mota and Carmen Carrillo Mota. Mr. Mota was a retired elementary school teacher. Surviving three sons, Michael Mota of San Diego, CA, Joseph Mota (Judy) of CO and Daniel Mota (Jennie) of Sumter; four brothers, Howard Mota and Raymond Mota (Jo Ann) of Chicago, IL, Al Mota of CO, and Edward Mota (Barbara) of MN; eight grandchildren, Nicholas Mota (Sarah), Brayden Mota (Carlee), Lindsay Mota, Allysa Mota, Courtney Ward (Jake), Michael Mota (Courtnie), Cooper Mota, and Majid Corbett.
