Obituary of Edna Morris

Edna Poole Morris, 95, widow of Douglas Morris, Sr., died Thursday, December 21, 2023. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Roney Poole and Marie Geddings Poole. Mrs. Morris was a retired employee of Campbell Soup Company. Surviving are four sons, Doug Morris, Jr. (Jeannie), Robert Morris (Cathy), Charles Morris (Elizabeth) and Kenneth Morris; one daughter, Becky Hurst (Don); two brothers, Harold Poole and Roney Poole, Jr.; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Morris; a daughter, Marcia Osborne; three brothers, and one sister. Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, December 28, 2023, in the Poole Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Morris officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 4715 Nazarene Church Road.
