I love Dar with my whole heart. I remember when she was born...so tiny..and then she came home to my house in Rochester because she needed to be close to the hospital. She has always been in my life growing up, and she was in my wedding. The distance after she moved to south carolina was difficult and we never got to visit, except for the time she appeared at my brother's funeral, like an angel! Now she is an angel watching over all of us. I wish I had met Charlie, maybe someday ....I still am in shock, as I sure you all are...sending my love and condolences to all....with love, anita portelli...
I'll never forget the time I fell asleep on the patio and woke up to see Darlene's face staring at me. She and other family members drove 2 hours to surprise my family and I.
We have many wonderful and funny memories from Aunt Fay's and Aunt Daudies houses.
My condolences to everyone.
I have been knowing Darlene for almost 10 years and was working together with her since my day 1 at Jazwares. I will keep her in memory as a very dedicated, open, hardworking and kind person with a big heart for everyone.
I surely will miss our weekly calls and the little stories she used to share. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
Darlene has always been one of my closest Jazwares family, working with her everyday since the day I joined the business 5 years ago. She is one of the kindest, most hardworking and cheerful colleague I've had the pleasure of working with. I will miss her dearly, especially her giggle and how she would pronounce the retailer Argos. I will miss our weekly calls together, both wondering if the Amazon/UPS delivery man would pass her house and set the dogs off, even mine from across the pond (it happened most calls). She truly was a special person to me and I will never forget her. She will be in my heart always, and my love and thoughts go out to her family, friends and doggies xx
Darlene was a sweet, caring and wonderful person. She would lend a hand to anyone who needed it. I met Darlene at KB Toys in the early 1990's and we remained good friends through decades. Even after my move to Florida, we would share stories and laughs through emails and texts. Darlene will be with us in spirit and continue to guide us in times of need. She will live in our hearts and in our memories forever.
