Steve was a 1974 graduate of Wilson Hall in Sumter SC and a 1978 Alpha Company graduate of the Citadel. He earned a bachelors in Physical Education where he was a scholarship baseball player and was voted MVP during his senior year. He earned his MBA from Winthrop University. He spent most of his career in banking but particularly enjoyed his years as owner and director of Camp Arrowhead for boys in Tuxedo, North Carolina where he influenced the lives of countless young men and boys.
