Obituary of Sharon Kay Ray

Sharon Kay Lloyd Ray, 82, wife of Roger L. Ray, died Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Huntington, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Charles Lloyd and Louise Shears. Mrs. Ray was a retired teacher with Sumter District #2. Surviving are her husband; a son, Richard Ray (Sandy); a daughter, Michelle Benedetto (Ralph); a brother, Roy Shears; four grandchildren, Philip Ray (Michaela), Todd Caputo (Rebecca), Christopher Caputo (Katie), and Melanie Carroll (Brayden); five great-grandchildren, Riley Caputo, Charlie Caputo, Dominic Caputo, Charlotte Caputo, and Wesley Ray. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Walt Phillips officiating.
