Obituary of Hydrick Wayne Ardis, Jr.

Hydrick Wayne Ardis, Jr., 79, widower of Brenda Louise Morris Ardis, died Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at his home. Born in Polk County, Florida, he was the son of the late Hydrick Wayne Ardis, Sr. and Buena Muriel Everhart Ardis. Mr. Ardis was a member of Wedgefield Baptist Church. He was a retired automobile mechanic at Goodwin Buick. Surviving are two daughters, Kelly Ardis and Tammy Anderson (Joey); a son, Jay Bradley (Sherry); three sisters, Pattie Thornhill (Donnie), Brenda Green, and Karen Rich (Lee); six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Ardis. Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M. Monday, July 29, 2024. at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Paul Goff officiating. Pallbearers will be Joey Anderson, Jr., Joey “Trey” Anderson, III, Adam Anderson, Landon Bradley, James Bradley and Ryan Kiernan. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Sunday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, Tammy Anderson, 1890 Conway Drive. Memorials may be made to Wedgefield Baptist Church, P. O.
