Obituary of Efigenia Carpenter

Efigenia “Penny” Carpenter, 83, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in Payson, Arizona. Born August 2, 1940, in the Philippines. She was a daughter of the late Angel Presado y Rodriguez and the late Precintascion HONRUBIA y Coronado and the widow of the late Colonel Duane Lincoln Carpenter (USAF) of Shaw AFB, Sumter, SC. She was a member of St. Anne & St. Jude Roman Catholic Church. Surviving in the USA are two stepdaughters, Sheri Lynn Carpenter Oyler (David) and Kathryn Carpenter Haught all of Payson, AZ; one son, Emil Picasso Gentolizo of South Carolina; two grandchildren from Emil Picasso Gentolizo, Mamie Michelle Gentolizo and Usher Lincoln Gentolizo. Brothers: Leon Presado and Eric Manuel Presado and Sisters: Lita Presado and Felicitas Presado located in the Philippines. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Diane Carpenter and her husband, Colonel Duane Lincoln Carpenter. A prayer service will be held at 4 P.M. Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, August 24, 2024, at St. Anne & St. Jude Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow the funeral mass in St. Lawrence Cemetery located next to her daughter, Michelle Diane Carpenter.
