Obituary of David Leon Truett

David Leon Truett, 41, died Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Carolina Pines Hospital in Hartsville, SC. Born in Sumter, he was the son of Jerri Rushing Truett and the late Leon Earl Truett, Jr. Mr. Truett was a retired emergency medical technician. Surviving is his mother; a son, Luke David Truett; a sister, Brandi Truett Welch (Marcus). Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Wells Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. Saturday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
