Obituary of Lottie "Bobbie" Young

Lottie “Bobbie” Zimmerman Young, 94, wife of Robert S. Young, died Monday, October 14, 2024, at her home. Born in Waynesboro, VA, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Criddle whom she was adopted by. She was raised at Lynchburg, Virginia Home for Girls. Mrs. Young was a member of Wedgefield Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband; four daughters, Diane Graham (Bill), Paula Hoff (George), Sandra Vincent (Doug), and Dawn Watson (James); two sons, Larry Lee (Brenda) and Robert S. Young, Jr.; 15 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters and a grandson, Troy Hoff. Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday at Wedgefield Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Goff and Rev. Greg Pressley officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Friday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home.
