Obituary of Michael M. Richardson, Sr.

Michael Moore Richardson, Sr., 69, died Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Seaman S. Richardson, Jr. and Helen Edens Richardson. Mr. Richardson retired from J. H. Seale Company. Surviving is a son, Michael Moore Richardson, Jr.; a sister, Nelle R. Ward (Larry); two nieces, Megan W. Adkins (Ryder) and Amber E. Richardson (William); a nephew, Corey W. Richardson (Ashley) and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Seaman Richardson, III. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, December 7, 2024, in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home at with Rev. Allen Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M. Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sumter Cemetery.
