Obituary of Samuel "Sammy" Archer Filyaw

On December 3, 2024, our sweet Sammy went to be with Jesus unexpectedly in his sleep in Charleston. Samuel “Sammy” Archer Filyaw, 1, was born in Sumter, and was a son of Adam Daniel Filyaw and Amber Marie Stokes Filyaw. Surviving are four siblings, Elijah, LeeLand, Ember and Silas Filyaw all of the home; his paternal grandparents, Kathy and Derrick Filyaw of New Zion; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Frances Roberson of Gable and Vincent Stokes of AR; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, December 8, 2024, in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M.
