Delilah Mae Thurmond Farmer, 63, wife of William Franklin Farmer for 18 years, died Friday, December 6, 2024 at MUSC Kershaw in Camden.
Born in Madison, WV, she was a daughter of the late Bill Allen Thurmond and Edith Backus Smith.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Destiny Jeffords Calcutt (Brian); a brother, Allen B. Thurmond (Robin); a sister, Lisa Thurmond Caughman; a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Woodrow “Woody” Hunter, II; and her stepmother Shann Hill Thurmond; and a beloved pet, “Pandi.”
The family greatly appreciates the care provided to her by the staff and hospice team at MUSC Kershaw.
A memorial service will be held 11 A.M. Thursday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. The family will receive friends 10-11 before the service.
