Obituary of Harold Joseph Stowe

Harold Joseph Stowe 95, widower of Lucille Anne Pepper Stowe, died Thursday, January 16, 2025, at his home. Born in Malone, NY, he was a son of the late William Stowe and Ethel LaPlante Stowe. Mr. Stowe was a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church. He was a U. S. Air Force Vietnam veteran and was a retired Parts Manager at Jones Chevrolet. Surviving are three sons, Gary Stowe (LaOr) of Navarre, FL, Daryl Stowe (Vicki) of Fletcher, OK, Michael Stowe (Karen) of Sumter; three daughters, Shirley Collett, Rosemary Perillo (Tony) and Renee Thurmond (Russell) all of Sumter; nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David Stowe of Sumter, two brothers and one sister in NY and a sister in MO. The family will receive friends from 2 PM to 4 PM Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Monday, January 20, 2025, at St. Lawrence Cemetery, 657 W. Oakland Avenue, Sumter, SC 29150 with Rev. Clay Smith officiating.
