Obituary of Florence Marie Poston

Florence Marie Poston, 84, died Sunday, January 26, 2025, at The Gardens of Sumter. Born in the Hannah Community of Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Lonzie Poston and Daisy Ridenhour Poston. Ms. Poston was a graduate of Hannah High School and retired owner and operator of Charm Beauty Shop in Lake City, SC for over 50 years. She was a member of Lake City United Methodist Church where she was active until her retirement. She had a love of traveling and enjoyed painting beautiful pictures for family and friends. Surviving are two daughters, Robin Cox (Mark) of Sumter and Wynde Edwards (Steve) of Abbeville, SC; three grandchildren, O’Neill Edwards, Madison Cox and Caleb Edwards (Kelley); one great-grandson, Jameson O’Neill Edwards; siblings, Betty Jo Eaddy (Bennie), Carolyn Floyd, Jean White (Jack), many loving nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her sisters, Georgia Lee Turner, Kathleen Robinson, Jeanette Melton, Judy Hanna and her brother J. L. Poston and his wife Marlene Poston. Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday in the Prosser Cemetery, 3359 Big Swamp Road, Pamplico, SC 29583 with the Rev. Larry Hayes officiating.
