Obituary of Leynoyette Joner Dixon

Leynoyette Joner Dixon, 86, widow of Broughton “Billy” Dixon, died Sunday, December 11, 2016, at Palmetto Health Tuomey. Born in Arab, AL, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Lexie Joner. Mrs. Dixon was a member of Northside Memorial Baptist Church and was retired from Tuomey Hospital. Surviving are two sons, Tim Dixon (Rebecca) of Sumter and Bill Dixon (Fe) of Pensacola, FL; two daughters, Jane Hayes (Paul) and Shelia Gill all of Bradenton, FL; one brother, Harold Joner (Jean Ann) of Decatur, AL; 9 grandchildren; 11great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Tony Dixon. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
