The obituary says he was Presbyterian, but I fondly remember Billy and I in Sunday School at First Baptist. In any case, sad to hear he passed. God Bless him.

Jayne.
Terrible news. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Billy was a real friend, idol and mentor to me during my involvement with NRCA. As you know, he was outgoing president while I was incoming. I will always remember Billy taking me under his wing during that process easing my transition and I will always treasure my relationship with him. Knowing Billy also gave me an opportunity to know you. That was a major highlight of my knowing Billy.

So sorry for your loss. Billy T was a very cool guy and will be missed greatly. A ton of memories such as the Clemson van that we took to games and on road trips and the "Laid Back" that we cruised on for my bachelor party and fished out of many times. Laid back is a perfect way to describe Billy T. He will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences.

Billy was in my first grade class and we graduated from Edmunds High in the same class and attended and graduated from Clemson together. I wrote for the Taps newspaper when he was the editor. My mother worked for his father for many years. Like his father before him, Billy was a true gentleman.
