Obituary of Julian Barden Singleton

Julian Barden Singleton, 89, husband of Esther Price Singleton, died Sunday, February 19, 2017, at his home.
Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Wesley Barden Singleton and Adelia Holladay Singleton.
Mr. Singleton was a retired civil service employee of Shaw Air Force Base. He was a U. S. Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife of Sumter; three sons, Russell Singleton (Lesa) of Sumter, Terry Singleton (Kim) of Greensboro, NC and Joe Singleton (Sheri) of Sumter; seven grandchildren, Lora, Jeffrey, Jacob, Weston, Carson, Adelia and Ingrid; one niece, Nancy Weinberg (Russ).
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Wesley Singleton, Sr.; a sister, Rounette Richardson; a sister-in-law, Edith Singleton; a brother-in-law, Charlie Richardson; a nephew, John Wesley Singleton, Jr. and a niece, Charlene Osborne.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Mr. Tom Nussbaum and Mr. Daniel Farris officiating.
Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 Noon Saturday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home prior to the service and other times at the home of his son, 976 Club Lane.
