Obituary of Onan Earle Floyd, Sr.
Onan Earle Floyd, Sr., 82, husband of Eloise Baker Floyd, died Thursday, June 22, 2017, at his home.
Born in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Hewitt Peter Floyd and Mamie Belle McElveen Floyd.
Mr. Floyd was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church. He was a retired U. S. Air Force CMSGT with 31 years of service and a veteran of Vietnam.
Surviving are his wife of Sumter; one son, Onan Floyd, Jr. (Gayle) of San Antonio, TX; five daughters, Julie Annouchi of Lake Ashbury, FL, Suzi Porter (Bob) of Jacksonville, FL, Sandy Zimmerman (Gerry) of Aurora, CO, Vicki Boyer (Bob), Terri Capello (George) all of Calumet, MI; one sister, Elina Phillips of Turbeville; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Bowman officiating.
Burial will be in the Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Sunday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home.
