Obituary of Robert Howard Ruffin

Robert Howard Ruffin, 70, husband of Linda McElveen Ruffin, died Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Palmetto Health Richland.

 

Born in Sikeston, MO, he was a son of the late Howard and Leola Huie Ruffin. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during Vietnam.  He was employed by U.S. Broach Company for 40+ years where he worked as a toolmaker/machinist.  His hobbies included woodworking, cooking, gardening and enjoyed the outdoors.

 

Surviving are his wife of the home; three sisters, Paula Ronald (Jim) of Sugar Land, TX; Margaret Kelley (Bob) of Lexington, SC, Saralyn Culp (Bill) of Sikeston, MO; two brothers, Huie Ruffin (Pam) of MO, Steve Ruffin (Janet) of Dallas, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews.

 

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Charles Butler and his staff at SC Oncology & Associates for their care. 

 

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Reverend Edguardo Figgerara officiating.

 

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
