Obituary of Mildred G. Eudy

Mildred Gray Eudy, 94, widow of Hiram F. Eudy Jr., passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at The Village of Summerville.

 

Born in Concord, NC, to the late Charles Gray and Ina Mae Gray Sears, she was a member of Shaw Heights Baptist Church and their JOY Sunday School Class.

 

She is survived by a daughter, Mindy L. Meador (Russ) of Summerville; a son, Richard L. Gray (Page) of Greensboro, NC; a sister, Margaret Nation; three grandchildren, Mary Haskins Gray, Robyn L. Moreno (Joe), and Melany D. Meador; three great-grandchildren, Banks Gurganus, Liles Gurganus and Leanna Moreno. 

 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Evelyn Wood and Frances Furr; and a brother, Charles Jackson Gray.

 

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert White officiating. Burial will be private, following the service.

 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

 

The family wants to thank The Village of Summerville/Alzheimer’s Wing for their outstanding love and care of Mom for the last 8 years.  Thank you also to the incredible staff of the Hospice of Charleston.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Village of Summerville Memorial Fund, in memory of Mildred Eudy, 201 W. 9^th North Street, Summerville, SC 29483.
