Obituary of Robert J Harden

Robert J. Harden, 89, widower of Lucy Conforti Harden, died Monday, December 10, 2018, at National Healthcare Center.

 

Born October 1, 1929 in Mt. Vernon Springs, NC, he was a son of the late Patrick L. Harden and Ola Jones Harden Dickerson.

 

Mr. Harden was a retired Vice President of Accounting and Finance at Sumter Dairies-Young’s Food Stores.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

 

Surviving are five sons, Thomas M., Michael J. (Diane), Robert E., Stephen L. and John W., a daughter, Patti H. Weaver (Tommy), three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Lane Harden; daughters-in-law, Dawn Marie, wife of son Thomas and Cicely Patricia, wife of son Robert. 

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.

 

The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. Thursday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.

 

Burial will follow in the Sumter Cemetery.
