Obituary of Valjean Marivittori Jenkins

Valjean Marivittori Jenkins, 72, died Sunday, December 2, 2018 at her home. 

 

Born in Tarentum, PA, she was a daughter of the late Valeo Josephe Marivittori and Mary Tyner Marivittori.

 

Mrs. Jenkins was a member of The Church of the Holy Comforter Anglican and she was a 1964 graduate of Edmunds High School.  She served as a Missionary of the L.A.M.B. Institute in Honduras.  She was a retired Director of Nursing at the SC Department of Corrections.

 

Surviving are a daughter, Victoria Elizabeth “Tori” Griffin (Cale) of Sumter; a brother, Boyd Marivittori of Spartanburg; a sister, Wanda Heron of Columbia; three grandchildren, John David Simmons (Jennifer), Kimberly Manyen (Andrew) and Emma Grace Griffin; a great-grandchild, Rowan Kai Simmons.

 

Memorial Services will be held at 4 P.M. Friday, December 21, 2018 at The Church of the Holy Comforter with Rev. Marcus Kaiser officiating.

 

Burial will follow in the church memory garden.

 

The family will receive friends in the church Parish Hall following the service.
