Obituary of Sarah Brown Freeman

Sarah Brown Freeman, 68, wife of Charles W. “Billy” Freeman, died Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.

 

Born in Marion, she was a daughter of Ithel Thomas Brown and Flossie Martin Brown. 

 

Mrs. Freeman attended First Presbyterian Church.  She was a retired registered nurse at Palmetto Health Tuomey Hospital. 

 

Surviving are her husband; a son, Ithel Emmanuel “Emmett” Freeman and wife Susan; two grandchildren, Emma Grace and Charlie Freeman; three stepchildren, Tammy, Will, Johnny Freeman and wife, Angie; one step-grandchild, Tony Freeman all of Sumter; and a niece, Betsy Spires of Gallivants Ferry, SC.

 

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Brown.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Nick Cheek officiating.

 

Burial will be in the Church of the Ascension Cemetery in Hagood.

 

The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Friday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2 Reynolds Road.
