Jonathan, Leslie Ann and Mark, My heart and love go out to all of you at this time of sorrow and loss. I personally have so many years of wonderful and memorable memories of our nearly forty year friendship. In my heart I know she is at her true resting place now as the happy, joyous woman she was. I am sorry I didn't get to speak to you today. Leslie and Mark, your eulogies were both stirring and showed your mama's true inner self. Jonathan...there were no dry eyes in the back where I was seated. Love to you all.

I loved Gloria. She was a breath of fresh air. We had so much fun together. We visited the girls in jail for the prison ministry. We took Bible lessons to them, visited with them and gave them a devotion. The girls loved Gloria. She brought the presence of the Lord with her. It was obvious she had been called to this ministry because she truly was good at ministering to them. The girls circled around her to listen and bask in her love.
We particularly became intrigued with one repeat offender who did not seem like she should be there. She seemed like she had so much potential. I recently ran into another lady who also participated in the jail ministry on different days than we did. She said that the girl we had been so intrigued with was on the right path and wanted Gloria and all the ladies who took Bible lessons to the jail to know that they really do make a difference.
I wanted Gloria to know, but did not know if she would remember, since she had Alzheimers. I am sure the Lord is praising her now for the difference she made in that girl's life and in the lives of countless others.

Gloria was my 2nd cousin. I loved her so much. I used to go to her house when I was in elementary school. Aunt Mary would have cookies and milk waiting for me and then would let me go upstairs to Gloria’s room. It was so pretty and girlish. I was part of Don and Gloria’s wedding. I miss all of them.
